Collaboration With Elle Sport

I love Fitness so much and I have never had problems being motivated to go to the gym. For me it is a lifestyle, and I never feel like I am forcing myself to commit to a workout routine. The most important thing is to fall in love with your body and once you do that you will have no problems going to the gym! Working out makes me feel balanced, strong and you also look your best. I am naturally curvy and I do a lot of weights combined with plyometrics, kettlebells, trx and cardio. I change my routine every few weeks so my body is always challenged and I can see results. Being vegan has also helped me a lot and I have lost weight in the areas that I wanted to, so I would say eating healthy is the key to reaching your fitness goals. I always start my day with a green juice and a coconut milk porridge with lots of berries and seeds.

So what is the best way to stick to a routine at the gym? I would say always wake up early and keep your workout clothes ready the night before so it is the first thing you see in the morning! This is a good way to wake up with the right mindset. I usually wake up around 7.30 am and eat some breakfast, send some work emails and go to the gym around 10am. If you do not like going to the gym you can always do an outdoor workout at your local park, or even at home. I prefer the gym because no matter what the weather is like I know I won’t be missing my workouts. I train Four times a week and each workout focuses on different parts of the body.

My workout routine

Before every workout I start with a 15 min interval training warm up on the treadmill. Sometimes I warm up with a skipping rope, jump squats and burpee’s and I do them for two min each for two sets. I always end my workouts with some yoga stretches and handstand practice. My training sessions last between 1 hour 15 min to 1 hour 30 min.

MONDAY – Legs

TUESDAY- Plyometric and Glutes

WEDNESDAY- Total body Plyometric with battle ropes and abs

FRIDAY- Back, chest and upper body

Love And Blossoms + RUYI LIFESTYLE

I am so excited to share this collaboration with Ruyi Lifestyle with all of you because my two passions; Fashion and Fitness came together in One Photoshoot.

Sweet Potato Falafel with Carrot and Beetroot Salad

Today is a another amazing day! I am finally starting to offer personalised meal plans and fitness programs after so many people constantly asked me to start doing it. I made this delicious and simple post workout meal today and wanted to share the recipe with all of you. So enjoy it and please try it because it is so YUM!

Recipe type: Salad, Side Dish, Vegetarian, Vegan, Contains nuts

Ingredients

For the falafel
1 large or 2 small sweet potatoes
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 tsp ground coriander
handful coriander leaves, chopped
juice ½ lemon
100g plain or gram flour
1 tbsp olive oil

For the salad
2 large carrots
½ Beetroot
Handful of walnuts
Handful of dried apricots
One spring onion
½ Red chilli

Method

Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Boil sweet potatoes for 8-10 mins until tender. Leave to cool a little, then peel. Put the potato, cumin, garlic, ground and fresh coriander, lemon juice and flour into a large bowl. Season, then mash until smooth. Using a tablespoon, shape mix and into balls. Put on an oiled baking sheet, bake for around 15 mins until the bases are golden brown, then flip over and bake for 15 mins more until brown all over.

The carrots and beetroot have to be grated into long, thin strips (as shown above). Add the spinach leaves, dried apricots, chopped spring onion and chillies. To finish add some walnuts and squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the salad. Add salt to taste. Serve fresh with the falafel for a delicious and healthy post workout meal that will fill you with energy and happiness.

Top 5 Organic Cruelty Free Beauty Products

Despite the many advances in skincare, cruelty towards animals still continues in the beauty and cosmetic industry. Non-organic skincare products have parables, sulphates, mineral oil, petroleum and synthetic colours that have been proved to cause high levels of toxins in our body and some have even proved to cause Cancer. These chemicals can block your pores, cause acne and skin allergies too.

So what can we do to stop these innocent animals suffering and making sure these chemicals don’t get into our bodies? We have to be more conscious of what beauty products and cosmetics we buy. Always look for the cruelty free ‘ Bunny’ logo or look for the words ‘not tested on animals’ on the back of beauty products. Do some research about the companies that do not test on animals and buy within these brands. A lot of people do not think twice about what they buy but the reality is cats, dogs, rabbits, rats, mice and fish are tortured everyday because of our choices. Test products are either ingested or applied and if the animals don’t die during the tests they are put down after. The tests leave them blind, or with severe internal and external burns. These animals cannot defend themselves and have no choice but to endure these painful experiments. It really breaks my heart that this still exists. if everyone only used cruelty free products it would put an end to innocent animals being killed. It is in each one of us to make a difference and once you use organic skincare and see how beautiful your skin feels you will never want to use brands that are full of harsh chemicals and cruelty.

I love and support organic skincare, and I will only ever buy from brands that love and respect animals. Here are my favourite organic skin products and why I love them so much. REN has been my favourite skincare for years. I love their ‘ clean skincare’ approach and how they combine effective anti-ageing technology that is free of petrochemicals. I LOVE the Keep Young And Beautiful firming and smoothing serum and eye cream. These two products feel beautiful and luxurious on the skin and you can really see the difference when you wake up in the morning. My skin feels younger and firm, and my under eye area looks well rested and bright. I love the lip balm too because it keeps my lips hydrated and super soft. I keep one lip balm in my office table and one in my bag so i always have it with me. You have to try these products and see for yourself, they are truly amazing!

Pai has been a brand I recently came across while i was grocery shopping at As nature Intended organic shop. I always go to buy fruit and vegetables and spend another hour at the skin care section until my sister says we must leave…what can i say I love browsing and learning about new brands! I have heard so many amazing things about the anti- ageing benefits of Rosehip oil so I had to buy this one by Pai. You have to buy this product because it feels like you have new skin in the morning. I use 2-3 drops to damp skin after cleansing my face and firmly press in the oil. I also use a small drop under my eyes and it has helped in reducing my dark circles. You skin looks younger and brighter after regular use of this face oil. If your skin is naturally oily use this once or twice a week.

Another amazing product is the Divine face Oil by Antipodes. This has Rosehip and Avocado oil. This is perfect for tired skin and is full of antioxidants. Avocado oil boosts collagen in the skin and helps reduce the appearance of lines and scars. I use this every other night so my skin can absorb all the nutrients while I sleep. This is another product I would highly recommend using. Natural oils are the best way to preserve the glow of young skin and after constant use it will slow down the ageing process.

I hope this Blog post made everyone take a look at the products they are currently using and do some research about them. Please start buying Cruelty Free and organic and help save animals from a life of constant lab tests, so they can be free and have a loving life. Our actions do make a difference and we must spread awareness!

There is something so magical about Paris and when I was walking around the streets everything around me was so beautiful. The pretty roadside cafes, the vendors selling flowers and the pretty balconies. I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel and the room was a dream! I could see the Eiffel Tower from my bed. I spent forever looking out the window and admiring the view. On my first afternoon there it was raining so much and I ended up spending some time at a cafe then back to the hotel for the evening.

The following day I woke up early to go to the Eiffel tower to get some pictures before it got busy with tourists. I was overwhelmed by the people there, mostly couples and it seemed that love was all around me. Everyone wanted to get a picture of the Tour Eiffel and it got me thinking why the city  has become a symbol of Love. I thought about it and i think it is something you feel when you are in Paris. The pretty streets, the architecture, the light show at night, everything makes you feel ‘Love’.

Later in the day I went to The Chateau De Versailles and it had the most beautiful French Architecture and painted ceilings I have ever seen. I love how there was so much art and history in one place. I felt so inspired and happy to be there.

CLEANSING CUCUMBER, BEETROOT AND GINGER JUICE

This cleansing beetroot, cucumber and ginger juice is one of my favourite juice recipe’s. The colour of this juice is enough to boost your mood especially on grey/cloudy days ( like we have recently had in London ). It is the perfect juice to have if your feeling low on energy.

Juicing is the best way to feed your cells nutrients because all the vitamins, are absorbed straight into the bloodstream much quicker that if you ate the vegetable. This recipe is so delicious too, and despite having no fruits in the juice it’s still nicely sweet because of the beetroot. It is packed with antioxidants and vitamins A,C and B6. Beetroot is also high in iron and fights fatigue and the chlorophyll from the cucumber cleanses your body. This also gives your skin a fresh glow if you drink it regularly.

To make this juice you need- (Buy organic vegetables to avoid preservatives and chemicals)

1 Beetroot

1 Cucumber

Half an Inch of Ginger

START YOUR DAY WITH A GREEN JUICE

 I always start my day with this fresh green juice and want to share the recipe with all of you ! I drink this first thing in the morning before a workout. I would recommend that you buy all your fruits and vegetables from an organic shop when making juices so that it is free of preservatives and chemicals.

I drink this on an empty stomach before breakfast so my body can absorb all the nutrients easily. It makes me feel so good and full of energy ready to start the day. This juice is rich in nutrients and it cleanses the blood, liver, digestive tract, and kidneys. It provides support for all major organs of the body, and will keep your skin looking beautiful. Try this instead of coffee or tea first thing in the morning.

Ingredients

Half a cucumber

Two kiwis

One Green Apple (can also use pineapple)

One celery stick

Three handfuls of spinach

Three handfuls of kale

Three handfuls of Broccoli
